Horse Year
Acrylic on Canvas (20"x16"x0.5")
Painting on canvases was an altogether different experiment as all these days I just painted on any paper or cloth without preparing it. But to paint on a canvas, I had to prepare the canvas first by applying Gesso and then one coat of paint would never suffice. I had to do the painting in multiple layers to get the color effect I wanted. After wasting quite a few canvas pads, I finally got what I wanted on this Canvas board which is ready to hang.
Though they are a lot of flaws in the painting, I finally realized that perfection never works for me. This artwork would always be special for me as this was the first time I painted a life form on a Canvas.
Anyways this is just the beginning:)

Sunset and Sail
"Sailing Colors"
Acrylic on Canvas (13"x16")
The very first painting on a canvas and I love it. The colors, the reflection, the sail and the clouds work so beautifully. This is again a recreation of Leonid Afremov painting, but the beauty is that I created this using a brush and not a palette knife.
I hanged this in my bedroom for the time being and not a day passed when I didn't stop in front of it and blushed. The colors bring life to a boring day.
In Love
I love using bright colors to my paintings. And this painting is also a recreation of an artwork.
Though this painting lacks the clarity and the distinction which would have been clearly created using a palette knife on a canvas, but the colors are so bright and vibrant that they mask away all the flaws for me.
